Our Commitment to RMHC Canada

At BrandSource Canada, we understand the importance of family and the comfort of home. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada helps keep families together and close to their seriously ill child being treated in hospital, and that is why we’re proud to name them as our official charity. We have committed to supporting RMHC Canada as a key supplier since 2007 by providing appliances and mattresses to Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across the country.

In 2015, BrandSource Canada reached a new milestone: raising over $1 million in donations and fundraising events while offering volunteer opportunities for our members within their communities.

RMHC is dedicated to keeping families of sick children together and close to the care they need. When the unimaginable happens, RMHC is there with 16 Ronald McDonald Houses and 17 Family Rooms welcoming families from local communities across the country during their time of need. These local communities are OUR communities.

Did you Know?

• 65% of Canadians live outside a city or town with a children’s hospital, requiring them to travel away from their homes, jobs, and community to treat their sick child.
• A family in need arrives at one of their doorsteps every 20 minutes.
• 1 in 4 Canadians have stayed at or know someone who has stayed at RMHC.
• RMHC supports more than 26,000 families from 3,400 communities across Canada annually.

But the need continues... last year RMHC Canada turned away over 3,000 families.

When families learn their child is sick and requires hospitalization, life as they know it changes overnight. Families embark on what is an often unexpected and difficult journey full of uncertainty, worry, fear and hope.

We believe that everyone deserves a comfortable environment and essentially a home away from home. Join us in our support. When donating to RMHC Canada, 100% of your donation goes directly to their Regional Chapters.
